My sincere Congratulation to you and your families on the Eid al-adha occasion. May Allah accept our good deeds, remembrance of Him, and sacrifice, and forgive us all.
Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (PBUH) remarkable sacrifice, known as the Day of al-nahr. This day is a powerful reminder of his unwavering submission to Allah and his sincere obedience to His command. As we reflect on his example, let us strive to emulate his strong faith, surrender, and dedication to Allah’s will.
Furthermore, Eid al-Adha reminds us of the unity of our Ummah, which worships, supplicates, chants, faces the direction of, and serves the mission of one God. Let us celebrate our unity as we witness our brothers and sisters from all over the world perform Hajj together, with no distinctions between black and white, poor and rich, leader and follower. This unity before our creator and provider is something to be proud of and celebrated.
As we celebrate this joyous occasion, let us also remember and follow important Islamic principles and prophetic Sunnah practices that we should consider on the day of Eid.
- Firstly, celebrating Eid in Islam is a form of worship and devotion, and we should purify our intention, celebrating sincerely for the sake of Allah and according to His guidance.
- Secondly, the remembrance of Allah is the heart of Eid al-Adha, and we should celebrate this day by being mindful of His commandments and regulations.
- Thirdly, we should recite the Eid takbeer chant with our family in our homes, creating an atmosphere where everyone is chanting and glorifying Allah together.
- Fourthly, It is highly recommended to participate in the Eid prayer and attend it with family and community members.
- Fifthly, we should offer the sacrifice, hastening to do so after the Eid prayer following the example of Prophet ﷺ.
- Sixthly, we should express love, compassion, and care for others, especially for those suffering from poverty, persecution, and oppression.
- Seventhly, we should maintain balance and adherence to our Islamic responsibilities, avoiding excessive spending and following the prophetic way of celebrating.
- Eighthly, we should reflect on the prophetic Last Sermon, which serves as an important legacy for the Muslim Ummah and all of humanity.
Finally, we should remember the power of sincere supplications, including our brothers and sisters, Islamic work, and society in our prayers.
May Allah accept our efforts and make us sincere and successful.
