The mission of the SGA is to represent the interests and concerns of the student body, promote academic, spiritual, and public service events, and enhance the overall student experience in the Boston Islamic Seminary.
The SGA is the campus organization that represents the interests of all BIS students. Each school year student is required to pay the Student Activities Fee; therefore, each student is a member of the BIS SGA and is governed by its rules and regulations. The constitution of the SGA is the basis for fulfilling our commitment to serving as a liaison between the faculty and administration and our students.
All Boston Islamic Seminary students are cordially invited – and strongly encouraged – to get involved with the Student Government Association. General Assembly Meetings are held quarterly and are a great place to let your voice be heard.
The Student Government Association (SGA) of Boston Islamic Seminary is dedicated to representing the interests and concerns of the student body. We strive to promote academic excellence, foster a sense of unity and community, and enhance the overall student experience. Through collaboration, advocacy, and service, we aim to support the spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of all students, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met in accordance with our shared values and traditions.
SGA General Body Meetings are held quarterly. Attendees of the General Body Meeting include all the SGA Executive Board members and students. All students are welcome to attend these meetings via Microsoft Teams:
