Ustadaha Hadia specializes in Oral Communication (public speaking), instructional communication, and rhetoric. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University of San Bernardino, she currently serves as a lecturer at California State University of San Bernardino and Riverside City College.
Her research and instructional areas are broad and encompass a range of topics such as Oral Communication, Media Studies, Interpersonal and Intercultural Communication, and Rhetoric.
During her time at CSUSB, she served as the Co-Coordinator for Graduate Teaching Associates who taught public speaking courses to undergraduates. In this role, she supervised the instruction of these courses and conducted instructional training sessions for the associates. She has also served on various committees for curriculum development for upper division communication courses where she seeks to expand the Western vision of effective communication and oration by incorporating perspectives and theories from diverse cultures and communities.
Outside of her academic commitments, she is also engaged in her local community by holding workshops on effective communication and public speaking.
