Dear Friend,
As-salamu alaykum,
Dear respected supporters and friends,
I am honored to share a historic achievement that marks a significant milestone in the history of the BIS and the broader Muslim-American community. With immense joy and deep gratitude to Allah, I am pleased to announce the successful completion of the first graduation ceremony of our Master’s in Islamic Religious Leadership program. This achievement signifies a monumental step forward in our mission to educate, purify, and train future religious leaders who will serve Allah (SWT) in the American context through our Islamic academic and professional organizations.
What began as a dream in the hearts of our founders and supporters fifteen years ago has become a reality today. We celebrate the fruition of their vision and dedication alongside the hard work of our faculty, staff, students, and the entire community. Your unwavering support, including your financial contributions and moral encouragement, has propelled us to this momentous occasion, and we are deeply grateful for your part in this journey.
As we reflect on this notable milestone, I want to share a few brief reflections regarding this achievement:
First and foremost, we express our deep gratitude to Allah (SWT) for granting us the opportunity to serve this noble mission. His guidance and support have been with us every step of the way, and we are deeply thankful to Him.
We rejoice in Allah’s bounty and mercy as we celebrate the graduation of religious leaders committed to serving humanity by guiding them to the light of Allah, their Creator. Our graduates have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and determination, showing us what it means to dedicate oneself to a cause. Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work, and we are immensely proud of them.
We reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that this effort continues to flourish and succeed. This graduation is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a new chapter. We pledge to uphold the values and standards that have brought us to this point and to work tirelessly to nurture and expand our mission for the future.
While celebrating this occasion, we must also be mindful of the struggles and injustices faced by our fellow brothers and sisters around the world, particularly in Gaza. As religious leaders and members of the global ummah, our responsibility extends beyond our immediate communities. We must stand against all forms of oppression and work tirelessly to stop injustices wherever they occur. We are confident that our BIS graduates will rise to this challenge, advocating for truth, justice, and peace in their communities and beyond.
Finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to our donors and supporters. Your generosity and belief in our cause have been instrumental in making this day possible. Your contributions, whether through time, resources, or prayers, have helped us build a strong foundation upon which we can continue to grow, insha’Allah. Together, we have made history, and we will continue to build a brighter future for our community and future generations.
May Allah bless you for your firm support and grant us more success in this life and the hereafter.
