Boston Islamic Seminary (BIS) seeks to hire a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Sciences to teach in both our Master of Islamic Religious Leadership (MIRL) and non-degree programs. Relevant areas of specialization include Qur’an, hadith, fiqh, ‘aqida, among others.
Reporting to the Dean of Academic Affairs, the successful candidate will be an expert in his/her field and bring to BIS not only demonstrated teaching skills but also a background in or willingness to embrace higher education administration. The candidate must be committed to the BIS mission of preparing American Muslim leaders for compassionate service to society, to ensuring the Seminary fulfills its mission, and to promoting its values.
