This class will present Riba Free (RF) Islamic Finance as an ethical monetary, financial and banking system grounded in the teachings of Islam, Judaism and Christianity.  We will discuss how and why such a system differs from mainstream approaches, and helps consumers avoid getting mired in economic price bubbles.  We will study the roots of RF banking and finance in the three Abrahamic faiths and will discuss details of the current monetary system.  Finally, we will consider what is required to establish the foundations of an alternative banking system that adds value to the consumer.
